Milan: the birth of Modernity40 min
From 1920's to 1960's Milan was an extraordinary laboratory of architectural modernity. At least two generations of young architects created an updated and original housing language, due to an unmatched professionality, perhaps one of the most refined of that period. The tour will offer an overview of the most iconic buildings of that architectural season, providing an uncommon point of view for understanding this city.
Meet Your Guide
My name is Andrea and I was born and raised in Milan. After getting my PhD in Medieval History, I became a history and philosophy teacher. I have always been particularly interested in art and architecture which brought me to become a tour guide. I love talking about my hometown, its most important historical events, artistic developments, architectural innovations, artistic and literary livelihood.
