Paestum

Founded by the Greeks around 600 B. C. , Its name derives from Poseidon (the god of the sea), to whom it was dedicated. The temples and ruins dating back to the V century b. C., the golden age of classical Greek art, are considered to be the finest examples of their kind. We will admire the famous tomb of the diver, a unique example of Greek Painting housed in the nearby museum.
